Job Summary
To provide critical support to the sectional (operations) manager in ensuring that the production equipments are in perfect working condition and are available for use, at optimal cost of reliability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance in conjunction with relevant Section Heads.
Ensure compliance of all electrical equipment in accordance with DCP/local safety regulations.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Head, Electrical Maintenance.
Ensure electrical maintenance activities are performed in a safe, professional manner, in accordance with industry standards, environmental restrictions, original equipment manufacturers’ recommendations and DCP Standard Operating Procedures.
Oversee technical staffs in the performance of their duties and provide expertise as required.
Enforce accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and regulations.
Proffer solutions to solve electrical problems to ensure optimization of equipment reliability.
Ensure safekeeping of materials, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of ten (10) years of post qualification experience; seven (7) of which must have been spent doing related work
Skills and Competencies:
Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes
Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)
Extensive knowledge electrical engineering and industrial automation
Good knowledge of safety legislation and rules
Good knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and TPM

Description
To diagnose and carry out a detailed assessment of the Trailer’s mechanical fault as reported, assess the damage / defect and carry out necessary repairs of the truck.
Maintain work logs, repairs and mechanical maintenance records while monitoring inventory and order new parts when necessary.
Receives instruction from the Depot Manager as regards the details of faults reported by the driver.Communicate with the Truck Drivers to better understand their concerns, ask necessary questions for better understanding of the possible causes of the mechanical faults on the trailer reported.Determine parts requirements and tools needed to fix the trailers’ mechanical fault.
Effect necessary mechanical on the trailer to remedy the fault and return the truck to operational status.
Educate the driver on the causes and ways to avoid same through early detection before failure to prevent repeat occurrence.
Maintain work logs, repairs and mechanical maintenance records for documentation and audit purposes on the trailers.
Monitor inventory and maintain minimum requirement of essential parts based on repairs and usage history. Any other jobs assigned.

Requirements
Senior Secondary School Certificate, Trade Test Certificate with 5 Years working experience.
Proficiency in repairs on trailers, with adequate skills in air systems, electrical wiring / connection and mechanical repairs involving mainly leaf springs, wheel bearings and other general repairs.In-depth of knowledge of vehicle diagnostics equipment and Mechanical systems.
Strong attention to details with an aptitude for problem-solving.Certification from a vocational school or trade test is preferred

Job Summary
Provide first line support on HR issues / processes for the Plant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for all HR-related enquiries at the Plant.
Interpret and administer HR-related documentation to Plant employees e.g. employment/ promotion letters, queries, etc.
Obtain information on scheduled trainings for Plant employees and monitor to ensure attendance.
Receive, collate, and process employee requests for annual vacation (and other requests) and participate in coordinating the application and approval process.
Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date and contains accurate information on Plant employees:
Periodically request for bio-data information update.
Update employee records with respect to vacation, training, promotion, exit, etc.
Perform periodic checks to identify and resolve issues of discrepancies in employee information.
Manage the Plant’s casual/ temporary employees:
Allocation of successful temporary staff to the plant departments, based on request
Conduct of orientation programs to communicate terms of work and other information
Review time log entries and records of over-time work to ensure relevant approvals are documented
Compile information on workhours and expenses (if any) for computation of monthly wages and other allowances.
Recommend and obtain approval for budgeted funds for payment of wages.
Oversee administration of wages/ benefits and resolve any associated issues.
Participate in disciplinary processes as defined in HR policy.
Respond to enquiries and complaints.
Ensure maintenance of an up-to-date database of temporary staff and provide periodic reports on temporary staff strength and activities.
Manage employee communication and feedback within the Plant through plant meetings, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, etc.
Circulate relevant policy manuals to employees in the Plant and provide clarifications as required.
Investigate issues of non-compliance, complaints, etc and escalate to the Head, Plant HR & Admin for appropriate decision making and resolution.
Participate in the disciplinary process for Plant employees and develop relevant documentations.
Provide guidance to HR Officers in the execution of day-to-day tasks
Assist in managing the unit’s budget and obtain approval for expenditure as defined in the approved manual of authority.
Develop and submit periodic reports of HR activities in the Plant to the Head, Plant HR & Admin.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, Plant HR & Admin.
Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelors’ degree or its equivalent in Humanities or Social Sciences related discipline.
Minimum of Fifteen (15) years relevant experience, with about five (5) years in a supervisory role.
Professional qualification in HR Management e.g., Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) is required
Skills and Competencies:
Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
Good understanding of employee/industrial relations, as well as an appreciation of the dynamics of the labour and employment legislations in specific country of operation.
Sound understanding of DCP’s business operations, inter-relationships, and dependencies.
Good knowledge of techniques and methodologies for effective communication and change programs.
