About the Technical Project Manager (CORE) Role
We are hiring a talented and experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee a wide variety of projects within our Transaction Switching and Processing division. You will work alongside other project managers to deliver projects from conceptual design through implementation.
You will have a dual reporting line to Transaction Switching and Processing Engineering team and the Project Management team.
What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements, forming project team, etc
Develop full-scale project plans to track performance and progress as well as associated communication documents using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
Identify technology trends and figure out how to use these trends to our advantage and what the right way to use them is
Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
Effectively communicate project expectations to stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals and objectives
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all projects/initiatives undertaken by the Core team
Implement effective stakeholder engagement and communications strategy for all stages of projects
Manage transitions between project stages and ensure that changes are consistent with organizational goals
Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
Submit weekly and monthly progress / status reports of all projects
Serving as a liaison between project team and users
Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
Required Competency and Skillset to be a Waver
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of three years project management experience in the IT field (FINTECH, Banking, etc.)
Minimum 6 - 12 months experience as a Technical Product Manager
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the organization’s products and services.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solution.
Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontationaL
Detail-oriented, analytical and inquisitive
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel
Excellent documentation skills
A track record of following through on commitments
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
A history of leading and/or supporting successful projects
Preferred; Proficiency with at least one web development language, such as Ruby or Python

About the Backend Engineer (NodeJS) Role
We are looking for a driven, passionate, and committed individual to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.
As our Backend Engineer (NodeJS), your primary responsibility will be to implement, maintain, and where applicable, support product features (and or enhancements)
Candidates with less that one (1) year experience may be considered for an internship position
What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like:
Implementation, testing, delivery, and maintenance of product features (new and existing)
Creating technical reports on feature implementations
Research on existing/new product features and areas of improvement
Commitment to creating and maintaining secure coding practices (and standards)
Providing support for product features (when needed)
Perform any other duties that may be assigned
Required Competency and Skillset to be a Waver
At least 2years of working experience for a Full-time position and an internship position for candidates with less than a year of working experience
Good knowledge of Javascript for the backend (NodeJS) [Typescript is a plus]
Good, working, knowledge of a git
Good, working, knowledge of the SQL query language (MySQL flavor). [Knowledge and understanding of ORMs is a plus]
Good, working, knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB especially). [Knowledge and understanding of ODMs is a plus]

We are hiring a Project Manager to join our project team and manage projects for major functions within our organization. You will work alongside other project managers and report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Project Management Office. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, performing business and data analysis related tasks.
