Responsibilities:
Initial Setup:
Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the company's financial records.
Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with the Rivers State tax system.
Set up and organize all necessary documentation for accounting, taxes, and VAT.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
Provide monthly updates on accounting and tax-related matters.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, adapting strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information for reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a tax accountant, preferably in Rivers State.
In-depth knowledge of the Rivers State tax system.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Requirements:
Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel for occasional in-person meetings.
