HJFMRI Nigeria is seeking a
Driver.
This position is responsible for carefully and responsibly driving an official HJF/HJFMRI vehicle to various locations in Abuja and on some occasions, to other cities in Nigeria.
The Incumbent drives personnel and visitors to various locations, including ministries, embassies and other business organizations.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for carefully and responsibly driving an official HJF/HJFMRI vehicle to various locations in Abuja and on some occasions, to other cities in Nigeria. The Incumbent drives personnel and visitors to various locations, including ministries, embassies and other business organizations.
Responsible for the daily preventive maintenance of HJFMRI vehicles, ensuring that the interior of vehicles is in a clean condition, checks fluids levels, hoses, belts and connections.
Responsible for ensuring that oil, water and other vehicle fluids levels are within appropriate limits.
Resonsible for reporting defects and malfunctions to the supervisor.
Ensures passengers fasten seat belts at all times.
Maintains a daily vechicle mileage log.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to operate a motor vechicle.
Must possess good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical Capabilitie
Lifting: May requires lifting materials over 25 lbs.
Ability to climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
Operating motor vehicles, machinery, and/or power tools.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
3-5 years experience required.
Incumbent must have extensive knowledge and understanding of the principles of organizational management.
A good working knowledge of the Department of State regulations and procedures governing the use of motor pool vehicles.
Knowledge of host country traffic laws and regulations and geography of the Abuja city and country in general. Must have a good knowledge of automotive operations, safety and maintenance practices
