Job Responsibilities
Operate diesel generators of 5kva and above.
Perform preventive maintenance on diesel generators, checking for worn parts and leaks.
Monitor generator operations and diagnose malfunctions.
Perform routine maintenance, such as lubricating moving parts, changing filters, and replacing fluids.
Repair or replace defective components, such as spark plugs, alternators, fuel injectors, and starters.
Test generator systems to ensure proper operation.
Calibrate and adjust generator components for optimal performance.
Check for signs of wear and tear on generator parts.
Identify any safety hazards with the generator system.
Troubleshoot and repair diesel generators whenever a fault occurs.
Responsible for top or complete overhauling of Diesel Generator.
Ensure the wiring and electrical components are up to code and work efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE, OND, BSc, HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
Residence in Kaduna.
Minimum of 2 years cognate experience as a Generator Maintenance Officer.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy is an added advantage.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Good communication skills (oral and written).
