Role Description
We are looking for a resource to join our company and be seconded to our project in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The position is meant for a permanent stay on the project for the entire contract duration.
As a Piping Field Engineer will cooperate with the Field Engineering Manager (FEM) in the coordination of the engineering team moved on site, in order to assist the supervisors’ group of Construction (CONST) during the erection phase, focusing on the Piping systems.
The position will carry out work activities on site at Port Harcourt, Nigeria, as for Project’s need.
Main Responsibilities
For a specific Project to which the candidate may be assigned, the candidate shall:
Support the construction team in providing technical assistance in properly understanding engineering documents/specifications.
Provide prompt solutions to design mismatches or clarification requests either from the internal Construction team or by the Subcontractor through Technical Queries, duly coordinating the technical support from Home Office Specialists where required.
Support the FEM in the discussion of requested changes originated at site according to the relevant change management procedure.
Cooperate with the Construction Manager (CSM) in verifying the feasibility of the construction schedule on the ground of the actual availability at Site of technical documentation and materials.
When required, attend the site engineering coordination meeting with the FEM, Site Manager (SCM), CSM, Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) and Mechanical and Piping Supervisors (MSP/PIS).
Support the construction team in providing technical interface with Vendors at site, directly or through home office.
Ensure continuous design quality checks to prevent the design nonconformity and reduce re-works.
Assist the Construction Control Manager (CCM) in checking that the engineering activities awarded to Subcontractors are carried in accordance to the contract and related Work Requisition. Assist the CCM in supervising the quantities accounting.
Support CSM and the supervisors in reviewing the method statements as far as design documents are involved. The responsibility for approval stays with CSM
Attend the test pressure and provide mark-ups on documentation showing parts to be substituted in case of failure;
Keep updated the Material database, identify quantities of piping material to be procured locally, and evaluate technically the offers when received.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience piping field engineering, preferable in plant engineering companies in petrochemical, oil & gas, power
Previous job experience in Africa, rather than in Nigeria, is a plus
Good Knowledge of piping materials, and experience in technical evaluation of local purchase requests
Expert in AutoCad 2D drawings for modifying documents and in Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection;
Experienced in site surveys, NDT specifications and results and all what relevant to revamping activities
Experience in coordinating international Vendor suppliers or Mechanical Subcontractors (engineering centers or site);
Fluent English speaker and writer; available to stay in Nigeria for the duration of the activities.
Willingness to temporary live abroad and work in a multinational environment completes the profile.

Role Description
We are looking for a resource to join our company and be seconded to our project in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The position is meant for a permanent stay on the project for the entire contract duration.
We are looking for a Construction Mechanical Machinery Supervisor (CMMS) to work both on HQ in Milan and on site team on one of our Projects.
Directly on site he shall cooperate with the project team for feasibility studies, with APPAL for technical tabulation of the machinery Overhaul / Replacement Subcontractor Scope of Work.
Moreso, he will support Civil, Instrumentation / Automation and Electrical departments during technical clarification meeting with the bidders, to analyze / define the Work Requisition to be included in Subcontractor Scope of Work of the above-mentioned disciplines, associated to a Machinery item.
Each Supervisor reports to the Construction Manager.
He directs Subcontractor activities for his own discipline, ensuring that Dismantling / Replacement / Overhaul works are performed according to the Project schedules and Project documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to Quality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract. One or more assistants may support him.

Main Responsibilities
For a specific Project to which the candidate may be assigned, the candidate shall:
Prior to the start of works, to check the Supplier’s material and technical documentation delivery schedule. Check that the same is in line with Project schedules and contractual commitments in terms of overhaul and / or replacement performance;
Prior to the start of works, control and approve the Method Statements submitted by the Subcontractors, ensuring their correct application on the field or in workshop as needed;
He ensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities;
He directly participates to the HSE activities at site as defined for his position in the Site HSE plan and related procedures
To check that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay;
To check that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same;
Perform inspections and sign the necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans either in field than in workshop location where required;
To prepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinate nonconformity resolution;
To detect any design / maintenance errors, and where possible rectify the same or request the Site Engineer to make the necessary changes;
To check Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval;
To manage vendor specialists;
To assist the Contract Manager/Engineer in defining new prices, in preparing amendments to subcontracts and in analyzing and discussing claims.
