Job Description
Documenting and maintaining adequate employee/ patient records
Collecting patient health histories and administering basic medications
Periodic monitoring of employees with special medical conditions
Take responsibility for the medical care and routine follow-up of employees admitted under your care.
Administering medications, wound care, and other treatment options for occupational incidents
Performing physical exams and requesting for diagnostic tests
Performing procedures such as monitoring of vital signs with necessary follow-up, wound dressings, IV placement, and providing other assistance needed
Provision of first aid in case of accidents and immediate referral to the company-designated hospital if necessary.
Performing ABC emergency assessments during medical emergencies
Liaising with a company-designated hospital for patient transfer during critical emergencies beyond clinic care.
Maintain and document drug inventory and clinic consumables
Maintaining a clean and safe environment always
Observing and recording patient behavior/ condition
Adherence to quality standards and policy
Representing the clinic during factory inspection audits from customers and regulatory bodies
Counselling employees of healthy living
Ongoing accurate assessment of each patient while monitoring their response to treatment
Educating patients about treatment plans and the use of prescribed medications
Interpreting patient information and making decisions about necessary actions, where appropriate
Always maintain strict confidentiality of information on all patients/employees’ medical records
Participate in the organization of facilities for continuing education of staff within the resources of the organization.
Provide periodic reports of clinic activities to Line Manager
Other duties as communicated by your supervisor
Requirements
Must be a Registered Occupational Health Nurse with relevant certification
Must have a minimum of 4 years of cogent experience in pre-hospital patient management and onsite emergency response.
Associated Certification in Workplace Safety is an added advantage.
Must be resident within the same city or willing to relocate.
