Role Description


Our client is seeking for a Head of Human Resources & Admin on a full-time, on-site role located in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.

As the Head of Human Resources & Admin, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the HR department, including managing HR operations, providing leadership and guidance to the HR team, crafting and implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

You will also be responsible for the administration of the company.


Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Strategy and Planning:


Develop HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Plan and implement HR initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.


Talent Acquisition and Management:


Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process of qualified candidates.

Develop and implement retention strategies to maintain a skilled workforce.


Performance Management:


Implement performance appraisal systems and ensure fair evaluations.

Provide guidance on career development and performance improvement.


Policy Development:


Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws.

Ensure compliance with regulations and promote a positive work culture.


Admin Operations:


Oversee administrative functions, including facilities management and logistics.

Streamline administrative processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


Employee Relations:


Handle employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary matters professionally.

Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.


Qualifications


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field

10+ years of experience in a senior HR management role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic company

Thorough knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations in Nigeria

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs to support organizational goals and objectives

Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Proficient in HR information systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite
