Job Summary:
This role will be required to deliver sound, timely legal support and advice to all departments across the business.
The ideal candidate must have a good academic background and training as a qualified legal practitioner at a top law firm or Pension organization, ideally with solid exposure to corporate and commercial law practice and exposure within Pension industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft minutes of meeting
Coordinate meetings and procure refreshments for board meetings and board committee meetings
Ensure update of Rmass report for regulatory rendition
Draft letters, resolutions, memos, and correspondences
Promote best legal practice and consistency across the business
Render secretarial services to Management committees
Ensure maintenance of minutes and legal documents in the secretariat
Draft and review of contractual agreements with third parties
Liaise with other third-party service providers
Ensure compliance with monthly and quarterly PenCom rendition
Perform any other functions as may be directed by the company secretary/legal adviser
Direct and manage any litigation to which the Company is a party, ensuring the effective handling and successful resolution of all disputes and negotiations
Key Requirements
A university degree in Law (MSC optional)
Must be a Barrister of Law with 5+ years of relevant work experience within Pension or any Top law firms.
Ability to research to find information about laws, precedents, and other legal information.
Ability to prepare complex legal documents
Emotional intelligence and exceptional leadership skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
