We are in search of a seasoned logistics professional with a comprehensive understanding of shipping goods from Nigeria to various African countries via land, sea, or air. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate these logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have proven track record in facilitating cross-border shipments, preferably in African countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Strategy: You will develop and execute strategies to ensure our logistics operations work well for our expansion plan. This means considering different ways to move goods and how different places in Africa work.
Shipping Coordination: You will plan and ensure that shipments run smoothly. It's important to make sure it doesn't cost too much, and the goods reach their destination on time.
Cross-Border Compliance: You will follow all the customs rules and laws as you ship goods from Nigeria to other African countries. You must know what works in different African countries.
Risk Mitigation: It's your responsibility to find and solve any problems that might happen in logistics, like delays, issues, or damage to goods during transportation.
Market Insight: We'd like you to use your knowledge from visiting some African countries to talk about how their businesses work and how our business can fit in well.
Qualifications:
You should have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
You should have experience in logistics work, especially in Africa.
You should know everything about logistics, transportation, and supply chain management.
You should know the rules for customs and trade in African countries.
You should know how to analyze problems and solve them.
You should know how to communicate and negotiate with people.
You should be flexible and able to adapt to changes that may happen in the market and the job.
