Job Objective(s)


To produce creative designs that communicate the group’s and bank’s product and corporate messages in line with brand guidelines and policies to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.

To implement, coordinate and manage the Group’s brand quality assurance initiatives as it relates to branches and operations, aligning to global best practices and business goals.


Duties & Responsibilities


Custodian of creative standards with responsibility for quality and pace of delivery

Serve as chief motivator of creativity and driver of integrated ideation with responsibility for inspiring the team to deliver outstanding work at all times at a pace that delights stakeholders.

Oversee creative production across all spectrums of creative production including animation, live-action video, radio, static, etc

Has the responsibility to ensure uptick in the department’s internal customer satisfaction survey

Owner of the Banking Group’s Corporate Identity Guide to ensure brand compliance across all touch points

Has joint responsibility, with the Head, Brand and Stakeholder Management, to conceptualise integrated communications that deliver best results for stakeholders.

Error-free print work all the time

Propose at least one BIG IDEA to each stakeholder per quarter

Source, maintain and manage an image bank for use by the Group and subsidiaries, advising on image use rights and obligations, expiration timelines and purchase costs and conditions.

Ensure implementation of branding elements in each branch is in line with specified requirements (as provided by stakeholders), within budget, and to desired quality and brand guidelines

Ensure creative design and production tools are constantly cutting edge

Quality assurance of all brand elements


Job Requirements
Education:


Minimum Education: Degree / Higher Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts, Architecture, Engineering, Social Science or related discipline will be preferred

Higher degrees (MBA)/professional Certification will be an added advantage


Minimum experience:


8 years working experience with a minimum of 4 years cognate experience in a leadership role

Ability to work with minimal supervision

To support the strategic redefinition of the FirstBank brand with a view to changing perception amongst TA to drive loyalty and advocacy

To strategically contribute to bank projects with focus on increasing market share amongst the bank’s core target audiences

To support the development of a world class brand strategy for the bank with a view to improving its positioning as the first bank of choice for customers business

Monitor the brand and customer journey through the omni-channel experience, which is aligned to the day to day trading of the brand. Support the implementation of brand strategy, driving and rethinking the consumer journey while conceptualizing and shaping the consumer experience to offer seamless, integrated and elevated experiences in at all touchpoints – branches, channels, events, etc.


Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning / Execution:


Proffer innovative approaches to enhance product image to the general public

Utilize research data to make analysis in identifying the best way to introduce new products and refresh existing ones

Review output of research targeted at different areas of the market segments to ensure communications spend has the most impact to guarantee maximum return on investment

Ensure the success in translation of defining qualities of the brand in execution.

Support implementation of the Bank’s immediate and long-term brand strategy in line with the business strategy for to drive the brand while ensuring it is poised to meet business needs via well-articulated objectives, missions and deliverables

Undertake regular brand perception, brand tacking and other relevant surveys to feel the pulse of customers and gain better insight and understanding into strategies to further drive business goals and objectives through relevant marketing communications activities and activations

Undertake marketing insights research to provide internal customers and management team with customer and competitive insights to drive product development and campaigning as well as overall business decisions relating to marketing customers

Coordinate, prepare and edit executive correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents and interface with internal & external stakeholders

Schedule executive and unit meetings and appointments

Design and maintain databases, co-ordinate project-based work and maintain an organized document and project receipt and filing system for physical and electronic documents

Periodic review and updates on the department’s operating procedures and policies.


Brand Quality Assurance:


Translate a clear understanding of current market dynamics, competitive positioning, and FirstBank brand and product differentiators, into POS environments and collateral that engage consumers and drive conversion for FirstBank products and services.

Collaborate actively across the integrated marketing, brand management and retail marketing teams to ensure all required brand elements are developed, on brand, on budget and on time.

Maintain an expert understanding of the FirstBank range of products and services

Maintain understanding of the competitive landscape, including competitor strengths, weaknesses and product assortment details

To implement, the Bank’s brand quality assurance initiatives especially as relates to branches and operations, aligning to global best practices and business goals.

Ensure that brand infrastructure at branches and other brand touch points are at their optimal levels at all times, by liaising with relevant stakeholders.


Job Requirements
Education:


Minimum of Bachelor's degree in the Humanities. Certification by relevant Marketing bodies in Nigeria including either of APCON or NIMN


Experience:


Minimum 7 years post NYSC work experience.

understanding and knowledge of marcomms environment

Demonstrable advanced level proficiency in Microsoft tools especially Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities


Manage media advertising budget of over N750m

Look at the bigger picture to the bank’s media investment

Be the best media negotiator in the market achieving more with less

Identify the best mix of media channels to deliver advertising message to target audience using research data to ensure maximum exposure for available budget

Analyze and research target audience's character, purchasing and media habits

Maintain contacts with media owners, ensuring statistics, circulation and viewing figures are up to date

Adjust media schedules in response to the latest audience figures as well as product movements, manage budgets and update stakeholders on the effectiveness of campaigns

Present media proposals, including timings and cost breakdowns, helping stakeholders to reach a final decision about their future advertising strategy

Appropriately time media activities, based on usage patterns and seasonal factors

Optimize advertising mileage from media buy that contribute to the implementation of group marketing objectives

Monitor owned outdoor sites across the country and ensure group campaigns are displayed in line with contracts signed

Conduct analysis to measure ROI on bulk buy and out-of-home deployments, preparing monthly reports on advertising spend across all ATL channels.

Lead effort to use bank buildings and other owned properties for advertising

Contribute to the development, implementation and review of the Group’s corporate communications strategy, in accordance with the Group’s overall strategic plan

Maintain the Security of all Information entrusted to the staff

Comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Handbook

Develop approach and methods for evaluating and measuring partnership success;

Perform post-partnership evaluation; including data entry and analysis, and producing reports for the Bank;

Maintain the security of all Information entrusted to staff and comply with the principles and policies in the Information Security Handbook.


Job Requirements
Minimum Education:


First Degree in any discipline with requisite experience.


Experience:


Minimum of 7 years cognate experience in Marketing & Corporate Communications and/or Partnerships and Segments role in FMCG or blue-chip companies or Advertising.

Professional membership/certifications: APCON, NIM, NIPR, CIM, NIMN, CME

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
