Accountabilities
Reconciling bank statements and ensuring timely bank payments.
Preparing budget forecasts and managing all accounting transactions.
Handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
Reconciling accounts payable and receivable
Computing taxes and preparing tax returns.
Managing balance sheets and profit / loss statements
Audit financial transactions, documents and procedures
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
Ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Ensuring adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent audits, etc.
Requirements
B.Sc / HND qualification in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
Minimum of five (4) years work experience as an Accountant.
Hands-on experience with Quick Books or any other accounting software
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with general ledger functions and strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the generally accepted Accounting Principles.
Candidates must be willing to live in Okitipupa
