JOB DUTIES:
Supervise and lead a team of merchandisers.
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
Develop and implement merchandising strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
Collaborate with management to align merchandising activities with overall business goals.
Collect and analyze sales data, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) on a weekly and monthly basis.
Utilize analytical tools and software to derive insights into product performance, customer preferences, and market trends.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports, highlighting top-performing and underperforming products.
Provide analysis on factors influencing sales fluctuations and recommend strategies for improvement.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and aging stock.
Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose action plans to address these issues.
Track the effectiveness of promotions and pricing strategies through weekly and monthly reports.
Evaluate the impact of discounts, special offers, and pricing changes on sales and profitability.
Assess the impact of visual merchandising efforts through regular reports.
Measure the success of product displays and adjust strategies based on performance data.
Include updates on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences in regular reports.
Use market research insights to adapt merchandising strategies as needed.
Product knowledge
QUALIFICATION &REQUIREMENT
HND/BSC
2-4 years’ experience as a Merchandizer's Supervisor
Computer literacy,
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of Merchandizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Hands on experience with Retail management software and databases
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
