Role Description
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the company's supply of products and services. Procuring Equipment like spare parts.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos, and will involve daily interaction with various departments in the company, including finance, inventory management, and production to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Other tasks will include market and vendor research, contract negotiation and management, and the development of strategic procurement plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration or a related field
Proven experience as a procurement officer or in a similar procurement role
Sound knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
Ability to think strategically and develop procurement plans that align with company goals
Familiarity with procurement software and tools
Good understanding of general business principles and practices
Ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment
Fluency in English and working knowledge of local languages is preferred
