Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.
Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work.
Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.
Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our CAD server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.
Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, sub- contractors, project managers, etc.
Seeking clarity and understanding from engineers and project managers when you are not 100% certain of something.
Organizing and uploading drawings to web-based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings with project and subcontractors.
Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects.
Creating and altering construction sketches.
Ongoing drawing focused collaboration with project managers and design consultants.
Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages and delivering them to the correct contact in a timely manner.
Must be able to draw civil buildings, structural drawings, GEA drawings of electrical, mechanical, civil, piping relating to power plants,
Must be able to draw plans, elevations, cross sectional view of buildings and Equipment.

Work with Consultants (local and abroad) to assemble a design specification compliant with the employers’ requirements, agree its format and content, and monitor and review its preparation ensuring delivery by the due date
Agree and monitor scope of works with the IPP Project Management team and Company Civil department.
Clearly define building requirements and purpose of use with the IPP Project Management team and Company Civil department.to allow detailed design
Carry out detailed design as per Local, Indian or International codal standard requirements, QA and technical review and sign off by IPP Project Management, including complex calculations and co-ordination issues
Review and monitor the production of calculations including QA, technical reviews and sign off

Desired Skills
The applicant will have proven experience in the design of Heavy rotating equipment foundations, Building foundations, Switchyard pedestal foundations, piling, Building Structures with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record.
Preferable experience in Combined Cycle Power plants with Gas and Steam turbines, HRSG, Transformers, Switchyard, Transmission towers etc.
The applicant should ideally have obtained Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, possess a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and possess membership to an accredited engineering body
Applicants need to be able to demonstrate good management, communication and technical skills and be capable of working both within the team and independently, as dictated by work load
Good presentation skills are also required
Must be fully conversant with technical structural software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE and STAAD
A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential
Must be fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology
Qualifications

This position will be responsible for a Design and Engineering work, planning and overseeing installation, Testing and Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of all electrical power equipment, or systems related to Combined Cycle Power plant under general supervision.
Main Duties
Expertise in Extra High, Medium and Low Voltage power systems, Transformers, Motors, MV / LV VFDs, Generators, Control and Protection, Switchgears / MCCs, Switchyard and Transmission lines of 220KV and above, Manage technical discussions with third parties such as client, Consultants, suppliers, sub-contractors, OEM’s etc.
Supporting all the phases of project cycle from Concept, Design and engineering till Operation of complete Combined Cycle Power plant where little evaluation or ingenuity is normally required.
Familiar with International codes, Standards and recommended practices for design and selection of Electrical equipment
General knowledge of other related interconnected discipline systems.
Performing detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.

Preparation of electrical drawings and specifications for new IPP project.

Summary

Main Duties
Expertise in Design & Engineering, Engineering review and Comments, Installation supervision, Testing and Commissioning, Trouble shooting and O & M of I & C system of Combined Cycle Power plant.
Supporting all the phases of project cycle from Concept, Design and engineering till Operation of complete Combined Cycle Power plant where little evaluation or ingenuity is normally required.
Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures, standards and regulations.
Review of Instrumentation drawings (location drawings, interconnection drawings, cable termination drawings, cable tray / route drawings, cable block diagrams, control system block diagrams, shutdown logic diagrams, function block logic diagrams, hook-up drawings for various instruments, FAR layout drawings, junction box termination drawings, level coordination sketches,).
Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline.
Familiar with International codes, Standards and recommended practices for design and selection of I & C as described above
Prepare RFQs (instruments, control systems, control panels)
Review and tagging of P& ID

Prepare instrumentation cost time ratios (CTRs) for project Bids.
Perform site verification and mark-up for Projects
