Job Summary


Operation & Maintenance support on Power, BSS & transmission equipment, acceptance of new integrated BSS and TXM/ADM network element to achieve 99.5% Network availability.


Principal Functions


Operate and maintain Access,Transmission and power element to achieve network availability targets

Track and new change implementation,faults escalation, fault resolution and ensure TTs are accurately closed within MTTR

Conduct acceptance of new site BSS, MW,ADMs and power plants according to scope and BoQ. Within assigned cluster

Maintain accurate sites database within assign cluster (with detail information)

Checkmate vendor to execute monthly routine and corrective maintenance schedule for all active and passive elementson site

Ensure effective diesel delivery and consumption monitoring within assigned cluster.

Conduct monthly (DWDM, IPBB and HUB) sites supervision, spot check, external alarm simulations and cheek mate vendor team activity to enhance Quality of service and improve customer experience effective supervision of vendor/sub-contractors' activities also ensure non-functional alarms are corrected before next visit

Follow up with both active and passive vendors to ensure re-occurrence outages are cleared within assigned cluster

Liaise with Government regulatory department. to resolve environmental, regulatory, states, local government, landlord and community issues within 48 hours and follow up for permanent solution.

Follow up for timely replacement of faulty components on BSS, TX and Power equipment, weekly link alignment for MW links with deviated RSL as well as replacement of faulty fibre patch cord and splicing on national fibre BB to avoid prolong outage and reduce MTTR

Supervise timely Capex replacement (DG,ATS, A/C, Battery replacement and power optimization for Green Field as well as BSC/MGW sites). Also confirm and sign off JCC for the successfully completed tasks by both parties.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Field Operations.


Educational Requirements


First degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

Two (2) years post NYSC relevant experience.

Drive regular health check service to provides comprehensive CBS application status information to aid the identification of potential issues and bottlenecks and forestall any events that may affect the availability, performance, and security of the application

Manage the analysis and diagnosis of the resource utilization trends and problems associated with the application processes and tuning the CBS application environment, collaborating with IT Performance & Capacity Management functions to achieve and/or maintain the agreed Service Levels

Ensure proper documentation of the CBS application operating environments and storage into the knowledge management system for purposes of knowledge sharing and business continuity

Manage the inquiry and request handling service in fulfilling standard and ad-hoc service requests

Work with relevant stakeholders to develop and periodically update a standard recovery procedure for operation to follow when a disaster occurs.

Ensure the adequacy of the standby Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure of the Convergent Billing System to either maintain operation functions at an interim minimal survival level and/or re-establish full scale operations at a state of normal operation level if possible

Support the periodic disaster recovery drills for services involving the CBS as planned and executed by the Business Continuity team

Ensure all system and non-system processes required to guarantee a successful transfer of services between primary and DR sites are operational and working as planned

Implement a system to validate the integrity of replication and all GDR processes/services between the primary and DR sites and provide weekly reports to IT Management.


Educational Requirements


Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred.

Minimum of 6 years of combined experience work experience in Convergent billing & Postpaid billing operations with role no less than half of those in an IT/Telecoms environment is strongly required.

Educational Requirements


Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College / University preferred. Strong customer-centricity focus.

6 years of combined experience work experience in a service management or IT governance with role no less than half of those in an IT/Telecoms environment is strongly required.

At least 3 year experience in a supervisory role.

Candidate will ideally have good exposure to IT Service Asset & Configuration Management and IT Change &Release management processes and solutions (e.g., CMS, CMBD, Asset Management system) and good knowledge of IT governance processes.

Experience with IT financial management, resource planning, task prioritization, budget / cost control. Strong ability to process data and extract actionable insights.

Sound knowledge of internal business processes, outsourcing, vendor management and the mobile telecommunications industry; possesses a broad-based operational perspective and provides solutions for all forms of business risk.

Experience in working / negotiating through complex issues and providing alternative solutions.

Good knowledge of ITIL is required; good and demonstrable experience as an ITIL practitioner.

Highly developed business communications skill (verbal and written), solid team player, change agent, strategic and creative, excellent relationship management skills and the ability to drive performance, consensus from all areas within the company

Operation & Maintenance support on Power, BSS & transmission equipment, acceptance of new integrated BSS and TXM/ADM network element to achieve 99.5% Network availability.


Principal Functions


Operate and maintain Access,Transmission and power element to achieve network availability targets

Track and new change implementation,faults escalation, fault resolution and ensure TTs are accurately closed withinMTTR

Conduct acceptance of new site BSS, MW,ADMs and power plants according to scope and BoQ. Within assigned cluster

Maintain accurate sites database withinassign cluster (with detail information)

Checkmate vendor to execute monthlyroutine and corrective maintenance schedule for all active and passive elementson site

Ensure effective diesel delivery andconsumption monitoring within assigned cluster.

Conduct monthly (DWDM, IPBB and HUB)sites supervision, spot check, external alarm simulations and cheek mate vendorteam activity to enhance Quality of service and improve customer experienceeffective supervision of vendor/sub-contractors' activities also ensure non-functional alarms are corrected before next visit

Follow up with both active and passivevendors to ensure re-occurrence outages are cleared within assigned cluster

Liaise with Government regulatorydepartment. to resolve environmental, regulatory, states, local government,landlord and community issues within 48 hours and follow up for permanent solution.

Follow up for timely replacement offaulty components on BSS, TX and Power equipment, weekly link alignment for MWlinks with deviated RSL as well as replacement of faulty fibre patch cord andsplicing on national fibre BB to avoid prolong outage and reduce MTTR

Supervise timely Capex replacement (DG,ATS, A/C, Battery replacement and power optimization for Green Field as well as BSC/MGW sites). Also confirm and sign off JCC for the successfully completedtasks by both parties.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Field Operations.

Principal Functions
Tactical:


Assist in the implementation of approved policies and procedures for Microsoft Infrastructure system design, implementation and maintenance.

Operational:

Provide support in the implementation and user acceptance testing of Windows operating systems

Assist in the development of a proactive maintenance cycle for Windows operating systems and automate preventive/routine maintenance on systems

Perform daily Windows operating system administration, including hardware & software upgrades

Maintain backup of the Windows operating system network

Ensure optimal performance of all applications running on Windows operating system environment in EMTS through proactive tuning and preventive maintenance

Monitor Windows systems performance and recommend adjustments to system parameters to ensure optimum performance and response time

Work with the User Support team to provide second level support to the end users and ensure timely resolution of Windows system problems

Collaborates with business, information security, database and application development teams to define and design scope for each project

Develops and maintains system and project documentation including progress reports of the environment and systems

Delivers support/ engineering which includes design, system upgrades, maintenance and enhancements, new implementations and solutions, root cause analysis and resolving performance issues

Perform configuration, management and maintenance tasks for the following: Microsoft Windows Server platform, Active Directory, IIS, Microsoft Clustering as well as virtualization technologies.

Educational Requirements


Degree level education with a solid all-round knowledge of IT and its use within a business environment with minimum of 6 years experience

Expert in Microsoft Infrastructure Software

Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server platform (configuration, security, debugging crashes or poor performance, understanding of core operating system constructs such as memory, processor and I/O - disk and network)

Expert in Microsoft Public (Azure)Cloud

Proven professional experience with Virtualization (VMware vSphere & Microsoft Hyper-V)

Proven professional experience and understanding of Microsoft Active Directory

Good overall knowledge of Microsoft System Center Suite

Must be capable of working under pressure in a supportive environment, this will include dealing with escalations from the business, providing feedback and dealing with several projects and problems simultaneously in an effective manner.
