Job Summary
The Project Manager will spearhead cross-functional teams to steer projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they align with our organizational goals and adhere to the highest industry standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and successfully delivering projects across the cocoa value chain where the company operates.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute detailed project plans, merging customer needs with company objectives and coordinating with various managers and technical staff across all project phases.
Manage changes and strategic interventions to meet project outputs, taking a proactive stance on potential challenges.
Maintain regular communication of project status, adhering to a schedule of precise and timely updates.
Collaborate with senior management in the creation of project budgets and monitoring expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Evaluate and refine project management tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Cultivate strong relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers, farmers, distributors, and internal teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies as needed, tailoring project management approaches to align with project requirements and corporate strategy.
Build and sustain relationships with third-party vendors and key stakeholders.
Highlighting relevant changes in the project scope and managing same appropriately.
Continually evaluating and reporting project risks and giving recommendations for mitigation based on impact and likelihood of risks materializing.
Providing project updates on a consistent basis to the management.
Utilizing industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout project execution.
Supervising specific project deliverables.
Actively supporting the resolution of issues related to projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree is a plus and any related course. PMP/PRINCEII, CSM certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Proven minimum of 5-7 years’ related experience.
Demonstrated project management experience with a preference for experience in the agribusiness sector.
Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, JIRA) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
