Job Summary:
We are currently looking to hire an experienced Shift Electrician for one of our clients in Cashew production and export.
The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team, ensuring that all electrical work is completed efficiently and meets high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems by local and national electrical codes.
Perform upgrades or modifications to existing electrical systems as needed.
Ensure the proper functioning of lighting, wiring, and other electrical components.
Identify and resolve electrical problems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Analyze circuits to identify faults and implement corrective actions.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls and address issues efficiently.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment.
Adhere to all safety and electrical code requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate records of all electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Prepare reports on job status, materials used, and hours worked.
Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
Provide guidance and training to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
Requirements/Skills
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
3-7 years experience in a Food/Manufacturing plants
Previous experience in Cashew processing industries is an added advantage
Familiarity with a variety of electrical systems and their components.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and precision.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety guidelines.
Knowledge of safety procedures and precautions related to electrical work.
Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools used in the electrical trade.
