Our client, a Physiotherapist company, is looking to hire a Sports Massage Therapist.
As a Sports Massage Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the physical health and performance of our clients.
You will work with a diverse clientele, including professional athletes, amateur athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals seeking relief from sports-related injuries.
Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Perform sports massage therapy sessions tailored to each clients needs, focusing on pre-event, post-event, and maintenance treatments.
Evaluate clients medical history, specific conditions, and individual goals to develop personalized treatment plans.
Utilize various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and stretching, to address muscle tension, improve flexibility, and reduce pain.
Monitor clients progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal results.
Educate clients on self-care techniques and exercises to enhance their recovery and performance.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
Stay current with industry trends and continue professional development to provide the best care for clients.
Promote our services and products to clients, contributing to the overall success of the wellness centre.
Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily:
Proven experience as a Sports Massage Therapist with a strong track record of working with athletes and active individuals.
Certification or licensure as a Massage Therapist is desirable.
Proficient knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and sports-related injuries.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients.
Ability to adapt to individual client needs and preferences.
Physical stamina and flexibility to perform massage therapy for extended periods.
