Job Descrition


We are looking to hire an internal auditor to improve operations and bring systematic approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.


Responsibilities


Preparation and administration of annual audit plans. Conduct Internal audit of the company based on the approved plan; Institutionalize internal control framework and continuously evaluate the adequacy of these controls.

Ensure the maintenance of comprehensive systems for recording all audit plans, work papers, findings, reports and follow up audits; Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets.

Ensure the continual review and assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of policies, procedures, and processes across the organization and identify improvement opportunities.

Work directly with other Unit Heads on the implementation of controls including business process redesign, policies and procedures documentation, evidence evaluation and systems enhancements.

Investigate violations of the company's operational procedures and make recommendations on appropriate preventive/remedial action.

Provision of regular, accurate and objective reports/updates for management attention.

Support monitoring of the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations (local and International).

Coordinate and interact with audit firms performing external audits of the company's financial statements.


Qualifications/ Required Experience


First degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable institution. Relevant professional certification (s) i.e. ACA, ACCA. CIA, etc is compulsory.

Additional qualifications MBA, CISA/CISSP, etc. is an added advantage

7-10 years' experience with a reputable organization and at least 5years must be in Internal Audit/Control function.

Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel


Qualifications/ Required Experience


Possess a degree in engineering or technical services from a reputable tertiary institution;MSc in engineering or related technical courses will be an added advantage

Minimum of 5 years' relevant sales experience

Sound communication (oral and written) skills

Ability to Troubleshoot and provide operational/safety training

Sound basic knowledge & understanding of measurements,

Good mechanical and technical knowledge

Possess an extremely analytical mind with the ability to think, learn and act swiftly.

Management of risks related to the project and communication of all such information in a timely manner to the other members of the project team and the company management;

Coordinate the on-site activities of all project team members, contractors, suppliers and other related parties;

Qualifications/ Required Experience


Minimum of university degree in Architecture, Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (project management certification will be advantageous)

Minimum of 10 years working experience, in a project management position, engineering or construction industries

Between 10 - 20 years post-call experience and not less than 10 years experience in a company secretary role with a reputable organization, leading corporate service or law firm.

Must have excellent knowledge & experience of corporate secretarial practice, legal advisory, corporate governance and regulatory compliance

Must possess sound communication (oral and written), presentation, organization, negotiation and leadership skills; with proven track record of taking decisions that deliver exceptional results.
