Description
As a waiter/waitress, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience for guests.
You will be an integral part of the restaurant staff, collaborating with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and seat customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Assist guests in making menu selections by providing information about dishes and beverages.
Take accurate and detailed orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
Relay orders to the kitchen staff and communicate any special requests or modifications.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to customers.
Monitor and manage table turnover, ensuring efficient service.
Set up and arrange dining tables according to the restaurant's standards.
Check tables regularly for cleanliness and ensure that they are properly set up with utensils, condiments, and other necessities.
Clear empty plates and used utensils promptly.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
Communicate any customer feedback or concerns to the management.
Recommend additional items, such as desserts or specialty drinks, to enhance the dining experience.
Upsell promotions or special menu items when appropriate.
Present accurate bills to customers and process payments.
Handle cash and electronic transactions securely.
Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Be able to answer customer questions regarding the menu.
Work collaboratively with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
Assist colleagues during peak hours or as needed.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills for order processing and payment transactions.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
Stamina and resilience to handle a high-paced work environment.
