Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Assistant/Steward.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, supporting the chefs, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations.
Responsibilities:
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly
Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as needed
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen area
Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with established guidelines
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks as required
Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
